act 6
urban walk
this activity, designed and facilitated by Dr. Chiara Del Gaudio from Carleton University's School of Industrial Design, walked participants through an in-depth exploration and heightened perception of the neighbourhood.
participants reflected on key topics: what makes a place? what does what we see tell us? what do you usually see and what are you not seeing? why? how does a place make you feel and what informs that sensation? what are existing and desired resources?
the activity began at 5:00 pm at Arlington 5 and lasted approximately 2h30.
in this case too, we spent some time outside (more or less 1 h - notwithstanding the freezing wind!

if you missed the urban walk, you can still perform it. Here you can download the urban walk discovery journal with instructions on how to conduct your own urban walk individually or in a small group.
