counter-mapping and envisioning alternatives for Ottawa

in this activity, designed by Dr. Chiara Del Gaudio from Carleton University's Urban Imaginaries Lab and facilitated by Dr. Vincent Andrisani, participants collectively identified and co-created local viewpoints and imagined alternatives for the city.

we used mapping to support the identification of hidden and disregarded stories, opportunities, and resources.

we then used the findings from the mapping activity to speculate alternative ways of living and inhabiting the city.

the activity began at 5:00 pm at Arlington 5 and lasted approximately 3h.
